This year, the SmartNet Sustainability Showcase & Electric Vehicle Exhibition is excited to welcome EV Experience back onsite. EV Experience is an innovative program to help Ottawa residents gain a better understanding of the benefits of electric vehicle use through an informational website, free EV test drives, and the addition of electric vehicles to Ottawa’s car share fleet. On Saturday September 23rd, you will be able to take part in the EV Experience at Ottawa’s Lansdowne Park. Visit the EV Experience booth to learn more about electric vehicles and take a test drive/ride in one of the available EVs.

Coordinated by Ottawa-based environmental not-for-profit EnviroCentre, EV Experience is the result of a strong partnership among local organizations committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions in our city: the Electric Vehicle Council of Ottawa, Communauto, the City of Ottawa, Hydro Ottawa, the Ottawa Climate Action Fund and SmartNet Coalition.

EV Experience is made possible by a financial contribution from Natural Resources Canada. Additional funding has been provided by the Ottawa Climate Action Fund – an initiative of the Ottawa Community Foundation, as well as from the Ottawa Community Foundation. Financial contributions from Communauto, EVCO, and CAA have also made important pieces of this project possible.

Visit EvExperience.ca to learn more and to book a test drive/ride.

The Electrical Vehicle Exhibition is co-presented with the Electric Vehicle Council of Ottawa (EVCO). Along with the EV Experience EVCO will be bringing a fleet of drivers and vehicles who will give you the straight good on owning EVs. Come check out the latest makes and models and chat with seasoned drivers about everything from charging, range, maintenance and more.
